When you’re swimming in money, what better way to spend it then to finance your boyfriend’s dreams?

That’s what Ugly Betty star America Ferrera is doing by starring in and executive producing an Iraq War-related drama shooting in New Mexico starting in February.

The project, tentatively titled American Tragic, follows a young soldier (Ryan O'Nan) who has trouble readjusting when he returns to his small hometown. He leaves his wife, mother and sister (Ferrera, Melissa Leo and June Diane Raphael) to “travel the country in search of redemption.”

Sounds like a snooze fest.

A snooze fest Ferrera’s longtime boyfriend Ryan Piers Williams wrote and will direct. If you can’t get a real job, have your sugar mommy girlfriend create one for you.

We’re calling it now, this movie’s going to be a disaster. Not that anyone will ever see it. Look what happened to other “Iraq war-related” movies: Stop Loss, Rendition, The Lucky Ones, In the Valley of Elah, Body of Lies, etc, etc, etc.

Bad investment, America. Talk about tragic.

To promote his new film Yes Man, Jim Carrey appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman last night to deliver a Top Ten List of things he'll always say yes to (and did a way better job than Tom Cruise the night before). Who wouldn't say yes to bath time with Larry King?

How the hell do they expect us to wait until May 1st, 2009 when they release a trailer this bitchin' now? Those dirty teases. Though the glimpse of RyRy Reynolds' Deadpool is brief, it's mighty enjoyable, as is the prospect of two hours with Friday Night Lights' Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Liev Schrieber as Sabretooth and, of course, Hugh Jack-ed up Jackman as Wolverine. This movie looks aaaaawesome!
