American Idol Shake-Up Exclusive

Following last year’s continued ratings slump, American Idol is experiencing more shake-ups than J-Lo’s booty in last week’s earthquake.

Apparently Simon Cowell is miserable working on the show, so he’s being paid a TON to stay. If it weren’t for the paycheck and Cowell had his druthers, he’d quit, take time off and bring his UK hit X-Factor (the show that discovered singing sensation Leona Lewis) to America.

While the show believes they can’t lose Cowell, they were willing to throw a few other Idol veterans overboard.

Despite reports that executive producer Nigel Lythgoe quit, the truth is, according to one very well-placed source, he was fired, along with another executive producer and the director, both of whom had been with the show since its inception — a decision that came as a huge surprise for everyone. That’s a pretty brutal way to try to keep the show relevant.

Expect to see some major changes as the new season of Idol returns to Fox in January 2009.

Roda Monroe refused to go on american idol

Roda Monroe really should have considered going on american idol. I would have loved that.

Roda is too wild to go

Why would Roda Monroe go on American Idol? She doesn't like or care for american idol. Her voice is to different for it anyway. Her style is not poppy at all it's too underground.

american idol

i personally think that simon should quit or be fired, and randy and paula should remain on the show as the remaining two judges for the upcoming season. i don't like simon at all-he's too negative!!! i would be much happier if he quit and never came back!

that is juicy and saucey!

No one does DRAMA and CELEBRITIES like those Brits!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
