Is Kara DioGuardi Leaving 'Idol'?

American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi says she might be leaving Idol after just one season.

“I’m only here for one season,” DioGuardi told TV Guide Magazine. “That’s what we’ve discussed. So we’ll see what happens.”

“My life has become extremely exciting and I am so excited for this opportunity,” she says. “I feel grateful to America that they let me grow and they let me find my groove on the show and that they were patient. And hopefully I haven’t disappointed them. It’s been a scary experience at times.”

Hmmm, is she actually planning on leaving and escaping the show’s incessant bickering or is this just a power play to try to get more money for a second season?

We’ve got money that says she’s just angling for a raise.

No one leaves Idol unless Simon Cowell makes them or Ryan Seacrest tells them they didn't get enough votes.
