Tonight may be all about honoring the best films of the past year, but we still need to crown a box office winner for this weekend.

That award goes to Act of Valor, a movie about and starring Navy SEALS, which captured $24.7 million.

Another new release, Tyler Perry's (why is he still making films again?) Good Deeds, debuted in second place with a less-impressive $16 million, despite being packed with celebrities.

The rest of the top five was made up of holdovers: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Safe House, and The Vow.

Immortals in 3-D is the latest 300 knockoff hitting the silver screen. Action packed, full of gore and CGI effects this film leaves us wanting some more plot. Or another scene of Frida Pinto and Henry Cavill naked in 3-D.
