Brangelina Statue Set to Creep Everyone Out

December 8, 2009 at 5:12am PST

If you happen to be in the Oklahoma City area next week, or heck, in the entire Midwest, you need to stop by and see the new Brangelina statue, which is installed in the master bedroom ceiling of a newly built home there, near Brad Pitt's birthplace. (The home will only be open to the public until December 16th, so act quickly!)

Artist Daniel Edwards created the life-sized statue, which he calls "Brangelina Forever." It's apparently even embedded with crushed glass from wine glasses used by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie when celebrating the anniversary of when they met.

Another artist named Xvala built the home, also called Brangelina. The statue and the house are part of the documentary Domestic Bliss: The Daniel Edwards/XVALA Project by Oklahoma filmmaker Dave Smith and produced by Vacant Era Films, scheduled to premiere at The New York Academy of Art. (See segment below.)

Apparently the home will be sold in the future, as Xvala is insisting that the future owners grant Jolie and Bitt "Honorary Ownership" of the home so they will have a place to stay whenever they are in town. (We don't suspect Brangelina really need a crash pad when they visit Pitt's home town, but whada we know?)

A publicist for the showing said that the statue is destined to exist forever, much like the couple's love. Now that is beautiful. Not the least bit creepy whatsoever. ...

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
