Pin-up turned Baywatch babe turned animal rights activist Pamela Anderson has reached out to Cate Blanchett asking her to stop wearing Armani clothes.

The request is part of a movement devised by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to encourage often photographed stars to stop supporting and publicizing clothing by designers who continue to use fur. They have asked legendary fashion designer Giorgio Armani to cut fur from his lines and he’s refused (which is moronic and horrifically self-centered) so they’re now asking the fashion icon’s biggest celebrity supporters, like Blanchett, to wear other designers' creations to red carpet events until Armani agrees to stop using fur.

Anderson wrote Blanchett a letter pleading "Cate, as you are such a huge part of Armani's publicity machine, would you please urge him to keep his promise and leave fur out of his future collections?"

A spokesman for the designer claims Armani plans to cease using all but rabbit fur in future creations, adding, "As a luxury fashion house, which has always been attentive to this issue, we feel we are being unfairly targeted in comparison to our competitors."

HELLO! Rabbit fur is still fur. Haven’t these people heard of faux before? Besides, fur is so ’83 and not in a good way.

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
