So you do remember or you don't?

Chris Brown can make the rounds on TV all he wants, repeating his apology for assaulting Rhianna, but it's going to take a lot more than that to convince us he's not a total scumbag. And now he's taking back what he said on Larry King last week. In case you haven't seen the clip, watch it below.

He claimed to Larry King that he doesn't remember hitting Rhianna, but then last night he released a statement to People Magazine claiming he misspoke.  Well, which is it, Chris? He says the clip has been taken out of the context of the whole interview in which he was asked the question four or five times, and always said "yes" except that one time.

"The first four times--or however many times it was –I gave the same answer – which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, 'Do you remember doing it?' and I said, 'No.'"

He also says that he's ashamed and sorry. We're glad that he's sorry. We're glad he wished it never happened. And we're sure glad he's going into court-ordered counseling. (We'd rather see him in jail.) But we're just not so ready to listen to his music or see him on television right now. And we don't know what he could do to change our minds, quite frankly.

Chris Brown made a mistake and a bad one but I think that the media should let it die. People didn't stop listening to R Kelly and he was sexing minors to me that is worse. From what i understand Rhianna needs to step up and accept her blame in all of this also. I still like Chris Brown as an artist though I don't condone what he's done I feel like the media is taking this a little to far. Yeah I know some people think it's wrong to hit a female but if she did throw the first hit then she put herself in a mans position.

Chris Brown

I am very tired of people dogging Chris Brown. This young man made a mistake and he has to pay for his offense. End of story. You (the public/media) don't have to believe his apology. He didn't assault the public/media. He assaulted Rhianna. Exactly what is she doing about this? The answer appears to be nothing. So why are you (the public/media) dissecting this man's every word. Isn’t' it time to just leave this situation alone?

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
