Dancing with the Stars Elimination Night: Week Three

Last night, Dancing with the Stars had the best group dance to the best performance we’ve ever seen on the show.

Hall and Oates (yeah, Hall and Oates) took the stage to perform their megahit “Maneater” (that’s our jam!) while Karina, Dmitry, Tony and Maks did an 80s inspired, Flashdance-esque group dance that was brillz.

Karina and her Ogilvy home perm were killing it and at the end of the dance, she and Maks came in for an almost kiss that was both very sexy and totally sweet. We audibly awww-ed.

But now for who stays and who goes.

Steve Wozniak, despite receiving a 10 from the judges, is safe and Karina starts squealing and jumping up and down. Also safe: Gilles (duh), Shawn (no duh) and Melissa (double duh).

Next Adele sang “Chasing Pavements” while Edyta (whose body made us feel incredibly guilty about eating an entire box of Samoas yesterday) and her hubbie, Alec Mazo, danced a beautiful number together.

But on to the couples forced to compete in a dance off.

We so called it.

Holly and Dmitry and Denise and Maks are the couples in the bottom two.

That’s what Kim Kardashian Syndrome gets ya.

Holly and Dmirty danced first and their second pass at their Samba was equally stiff when it needed to be loose and jiggly where it needed to be tight. “You came out really hot tonight,” Len leered. “You’re hot. Timing leaves a little bit to be desired,” said Bruno. “It’s always a party when Holly’s on the floor,” Carrie Ann commended. The judges give them three sixes for 18, one better than the night before.

Denise and Maks’ Samba is, once again, painful to watch. At least Steve Wozniak is terrible but fun to watch. Denise is bad and embarrassing to behold. If they get eliminated, it will be because she’s so unlikable. “I can’t believe how much you’ve improved since last night,” Bruno began. “You’re good under pressure,” Carrie Ann stroked. “This is your opportunity to prove that you deserve to stay and tonight, in my opinion, you do,” Len said. They receive two sevens and a six for 20 points.

The couple sent home this week on Dancing with the Stars is…

Denise and Maks.

Somewhere Charlie Sheen is laughing his ass off.

Until next week.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
