Leaving the stars, and the audience in anxious anticipation, DWTS was all about filler last night.

First up, the competition for a new pro entered its final stage with Mayo being paired with Kym Johnson while Anna was with Maks. Our least favorite wannabe new pro, Afton, got the boot last week.

This week the new wannabe pro had to deliver a performance that was a test of their choreography skills.

Mayo and Kym were first to dance the Tango. He made Kym look smooth, blithe and lovely. “Quite often I’m asked what it is I love about ballroom dancing and, if I’m asked again, I’ll say, ‘Just watch Mayo and Kym’s tango,’” Len beamed. “You have great lines and provide a great frame,” Bruno smiled. “Your choreography [is] very dynamic and very traditional but I want to see a bit more personality,” Carrie Ann offered.

Next, Anna and Maks danced a Quickstep that was textbook, but still chock full of personality and charm. “Magnificent, radiant, lightning-fast, but what you did amazingly was you performed and you sold it to everybody,” Bruno gushed. “Any celebrity would be lucky to have you. It was fantastic,” Carrie Ann agreed. “Last week you brought the best out in Maurice and this week you brought the best out in Maks,” Len said.

Mayo and Kym then returned to dance a Saturday Night Fever-inspired Cha Cha Cha.

Did Kym lose a buttload of weight since getting eliminated? She’s the thinnest we’ve ever seen her.

“I wonder if you’re going to be versatile enough,” Carrie Ann admitted. “The tango was far superior,” Len shrugged. “I would have done a proper Cha Cha Cha,” Bruno said.

Finally, Anna and Maks took on the Samba. Anna would be a seamless replacement for Julianne, who already announced she’ll be taking a break from DWTS next season. We’ll be very surprised if Anna doesn’t join the cast of pros. “If you’re not the one back next season, I’ll show me bum in the supermarket,” Len declared. “Stunner! You’ve proven versatility,” Bruno continued. “I want to see more of you. I’d love to see you come back,” Carrie Ann said.

Finally, the elimination.

The first couple moving onto the finals is…

Gilles and Cheryl.

Followed by…

Shawn and Mark.

Leaving Ty and Chelsie and Melissa and Tony awaiting their fate.

And the final couple in the finals is…

Melissa and Tony.

Ty and Chelsie are eliminated.

We knew it was coming. But we hate to see him go.

DWTS needs exit montages set to Carrie Underwood songs so we can have a good cry as great people like Ty exit the ballroom.

He has been an inspiration throughout the season and we’ll miss him tremendously.

Until next week when one couple will take home the mirror ball in the season finale...

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
