Julianne Hough is trading in dancing shoes for cowboy boots.

After four seasons and two mirror-ball trophies, Julianne is stepping away from Dancing with the Stars, at least for a little while. She made the announcement to Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, while they were discussing her and partner Cody Linley’s elimination on Tuesday night’s episode of DWTS.

“I’m not gonna be back next season,” she said. “I really, really want to focus on the music and, ya know, be taken seriously a little bit. And I think it’s hard to be on [the show] and be singing.”

Julianne with be missed. We just pray her brother doesn't follow suit. We heart Derek Hough!

How the hell do they expect us to wait until May 1st, 2009 when they release a trailer this bitchin' now? Those dirty teases. Though the glimpse of RyRy Reynolds' Deadpool is brief, it's mighty enjoyable, as is the prospect of two hours with Friday Night Lights' Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Liev Schrieber as Sabretooth and, of course, Hugh Jack-ed up Jackman as Wolverine. This movie looks aaaaawesome!
