Earlier this week, Julianne Hough was forced to leave Dancing with the Stars to have her appendix removed due to complications with endometriosis. While she’s safely recovering and hopes to be back on the dance floor in a week (Edyta Sliwinska will be filling in with her partner Cody Linley), another dancer has been diagnosed with the same aliment, pro Lacey Schwimmer.
Schwimmer, who’s partnered with Lance Bass on the hit ABC show, says she learned Wednesday that she too suffers from the same ailment.
“A few days ago, I started feeling very shaky, very weak, and I had awful cramps … I didn’t really know what was going on,” Lacey said. “I went to go get checked out today, and I actually have the beginning onset of what Julianne has. It hurts very bad. Right now I’m insanely weak, and the room is spinning.”
Unlike Hough, whose condition was more advanced, Schwimmer won’t require surgery.
“I have medication that is taking care of it,” she said. “We caught it at a very good time.”
Schwimmer also offered an update on her fellow dancer, Julianne, who she says is, “Doing great. She’s in bed. She has her boyfriend there, she has her mom, her sisters, her dog.”
Get well soon, ladies.
