Turns out it wasn't movie-magic (or even magic-magic) that brought the scenes in Harry Potter to life – it was a far more common elixer.

Daniel Radcliffe has admitted that he filmed many of the films' scenes while completely wasted. This wouldn't be the first time we've wondered if he was caught on film in an altered state.

"I went into work still drunk," the 22-year-old actor told the British magazine Heat. "I can point to many scenes where I'm just gone. Dead behind the eyes. I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem."

Radcliffe says he no longer imbibes, which is a shame – he could have joined up with Pat Sajak to create line of awesome-at-your-job sauce.
