He can bend it, he can work it, but can he design it?

He’s already a soccer star, a smokeshow and a spokesmodel, but David Beckham is adding designer to his repertoire.

Beckham collaborated with James Bond, owner of the Undefeated sneaker-freak boutiques, on a fall-winter men’s collection for Adidas Originals by Originals.

The line, which was first reported by WWD, features leather, cashmere and silk, as well as footwear based on iconic Adidas styles.

Although Beckham has an athletic endorsement with Adidas, he isn’t planning to use his image or make personal appearances to promote the new line.

He’s using the Smuckers approach: If it’s David Beckham, it has to be good.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together.
