Emily Blunt is Britain's Artist of the Year

We wonder if she'll wear Prada to the ceremony.

The Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt will be honored as this year's British Artist of the Year at the 2009 BAFTA/LA Brittania Awards in November.

"Emily continuously demonstrates an impressive range in her performances and with each movie solidifies her status as one of the best actresses of her generation," said Peter Morris, the BAFTA/LA chairman.

Blunt's upcoming projects include The Young Victoria, the Jean-Marc Vallée directed period piece in which she plays Queen Victoria, and The Wolfman, a remake of the classic horror film which also stars Benicio del Toro.

Contratulations, Emily! We hope she's only one stomach flu away from her goal weight come November.
