ER's Margulies/Clooney Scenes Were Closely Guarded Secret

George Clooney’s reappearance on ER with Julianna Margulies was considered so top secret it was shot outside of LA, without the knowledge of NBC.

It was a major covert operation according to Julianna.

She tells TV Guide Magazine, “My last episode was done in complete secrecy. George flew from Burbank and I flew from LAX and we met in Seattle with only John Wells and our director of photography.

“We rented a house, I did my hair and make-up in a guest bathroom. John Wells took the film and locked it in his safe. NBC didn’t even see it until the day it aired. It was so exciting.”

We want to hum the Mission: Impossible theme right now.

We love the idea of undercover Clooney!
