That’s Why She Looks Like a Strung Out Rocker…

She is one!

We’ve been wondering why Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen has begun resembling early Debbie Harry/Courtney Love/Sid’s Nancy and it’s because she’s harboring delusions of grandeur for her big rock career.

Why can’t successful actors leave well enough alone and be happy with their singular career (cough, Joaquin Phoenix)?

Why do they all want to be rock stars too (ahem, Kevin Costner)?

Now Taylor Momsen is joining in the unoriginality.

The actress-turned-singer has been rehearsing her side project, a rock group called The Reckless.

“It’s really exciting,” she says. “We’re putting out our album this year and hopefully starting to tour around April."

“I [write the songs] all 100 per cent myself. I’m the lead singer and I play guitar and I totally oversee it. It’s a huge passion and totally important to me. It’s really exciting and probably not what people are gonna expect. Kinda dark, a little bit heavier. But we have our lighter, fun stuff too.”

We hate to burst your bubble, but “their music” was “totally important” to Eddie Murphy, Don Johnson, Brittany Murphy, Taryn Manning and plenty of others, including your castmate, Leighton Meester, too.

Good luck with that.

Nothing like 16-year-old angst rock.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
