Jump back, bow down and shut yo’ mouh!

Kate Winslet is SMOKIN’!

Photographed for Vanity Fair by Steven Meisel in a homage to French screen goddess Catherine Deneuve’s iconic role in Belle du Jour, we have never seen Winslet more glorious, a truth she has yet to come to grips with because of the stigma her body once had in Hollywood. “I was fat,” she says. “I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid.”

The fact that women like Kate are considered “fat” in Hollywood makes us totally sick.

Body issues aside she is still “the most talented actress of her generation.” This according to her Titanic co-star who she reunites with in the upcoming Oscar bait, Revolutionary Road.  This role could easily fetch her a sixth Oscar nomination and, hopefully this time, a win.

“Do I want [an Oscar]? You bet your fucking ass I do!” Winslet admits. “I think that people assume that I don’t care or don’t want it or don’t need it or something. It’s hard to be there five times, and I’m only human, you know? But I don’t go home and cry, because we’re all grown-ups here.”

If we could give her the award for most refreshing honesty, most talented, best role-model and most alluring, she’d have statues lined up for days. This is your year, Kate!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
