Lauren Conrad Writes a Book

Well, I guess we know what Lauren Conrad will be doing with all of her free time, now that she's leaving The Hills.

Conrad has penned a novel, entitled L.A. Candy, about a girl named Jane who "moves to Hollywood and ends up the star of her own reality show," which will be out in June.

Sound familiar?

"Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life," Conrad has stated publicly, "but it is in no way calling anyone out."

So let us get this straight: Her "reality" show is scripted, and her "novel" is based on real life? This takes "art imitating life" to bizarre new extremes.
