This can't possibly end well.

Two of the most obnoxious people in Hollywood, Ryan Seacrest and Lindsay Lohan, are collaborating on a new reality tv show.

The show will reportedly involve people who are down on their luck making a case to the pair of celebrities for a second chance at life, with the winner being awarded a million dollars. It's basically like Extreme Makeover: Life Edition.

Um, are we the only ones who think that perhaps Lindsay Lohan should be working on her own second chance in life before she starts focusing on other people's?

My boyfriend returned from a wonderful two and a half year, round-the-world trip last year. He's still at home, and while he is keen to settle down at home, he's very restless. I don't think he has found his 'place' in the world yet.

I had been perusing the sexsearch chatrooms, trying to find ladies in my area for some fun and one afternoon I met this friendly lady, Cheryl, who said she worked from her home, like me, and was looking for a good time for the approaching weekend. After talking for several hours that http://www.roberts.com afternoon, we decided

For a couple weeks now, we've had a MySQL server at work running MySQL 5.1.34 and the Percona XtraDB 1.0.3-5 plug-in. I'm testing an upgrade path for our current MySQL 5.0.xx based servers. Aside from some confusion about the initial setup (getting the built-in InnoDB to stay out of the way), things have gone very well. All of our largest and most active tables have been converted http://www.freeman.com to the new Barracuda file format and I tested compression on the two...

So I think I may be building a desktop computer in mid-January, depending how our finances look. It’s going to be mid-high range for gaming, with a budget of about $800 (I have a case and an LCD already). It needs to run Vista and Linux, and be compatible with both (I’m thinking Arch). I’ve

If I would have to guess, I would say that the girl and the bowl with the fish is a pencil drawing (maybe some ink, gouach or watercolor for the dark in the bottom of the bowl) He then scanned it, colored it in photoshop (the lineart as well) and then hand drew the pattern on the shirt in photoshop. Finaly he added the wallpaper-pattern, that's probably from a stock photo with some filters over it...

Of the many things I noticed last week at the MySQL Conference, one of the most notable was how many companies have not upgraded from MySQL 5.0 to 5.1 yet. Craigslist is in that camp and it seems that we're joined by the likes of Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and about half a dozen other companies that use MySQL heavily. Come to think of it, SmugMug are the only folks I've talked with who've made the jump (video). So it's not...

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
