According to Me and Marlon, a new book by Marlon Brando’s longtime personal assistant Alice Marchak, the acting legend battled the eating disorder bulimia for most of his adult life.
Marchak claims the star regularly gorged on food only to vomit it back up in secret. She writes, "We'd eat dinner and then Marlon would go to the bathroom - and come back and order another meal."
She alleges she discovered his bulimia when she found him passed out in a bathroom after having hemorrhaged.
The tell-all also proclaims Brando battled drug and sex addictions, once had to talk his son Christian out of committing suicide and he almost turned down his iconic role of Don Corleone in The Godfather, because he didn't want to glorify the Mafia.
Brando died in 2004 at the age of 80. His legend, despite any number of salacious kiss-and-tell biographies, will live on as long as celluloid.
