Michael Phelps Suspended For Three Months

WTF?

We understand Kellogg’s, a company whose main spokesperson is Tony the Tiger, dropping Michael Phelps as their posterboy following  the brouhaha about him smoking weed at a University of South Carolina party, but now USA Swimming has yanked the rug out from under the eight time gold medal winner.

Phelps has been slapped with a three month suspension and they’ve yanked his monthly stipend.

He doesn’t need the allowance, but the decision means Mikey won’t be able to compete at a handful of grand prix events in the coming months, although he will remain eligible for the US championships in Indianapolis in July, the qualifying event for the world championships in Rome.

This is ridiculous.

Earlier in the week, Ashton Kutcher spoke out and said, “I don’t smoke and haven’t in quite some time. But I’m not immune to a lapse in good judgment from time to time. The real douche is the idiot that put out the pic. [Michael’s] a good kid. He could be a real douche but he’s not. Maybe the media can quit dragging his dick in the dirt. I’m not saying it was a smart move. But he doesn’t need to be publicly outed for it. Who ever put the pic out is an ass!”

We totally concur!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
