New Couple Alert: Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter

May 23, 2008 at 10:31am PST

OK! Magazine reports Friday Night Lights beauty Minka Kelly is seeing New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.

They were recently seen enjoying a romantic dinner at NYC’s Kobe Club, Minka's been stopping by Derek’s apartment at the luxurious Trump Towers in Midtown Manhattan, and he recently gave her tickets to see him play. Nothing is sexier than a man doing something well, and Jeter is one of the best players in the game of baseball. If he wants to win Minka over, that’s a sure fire approach.

We can’t contain ourselves: Go Yankees!!!! We heart heart heart the Yankees and Derek Jeter!!! Thanks. We needed that. Phew.

Minka previously dated John Mayer, and she was linked to Spiderman 3’s Topher Grace as late as last week after the two were spotted dining together.

Topher is no match for Jeter, who has previously dated Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Adriana Lima, Vanessa Minnillo and Jessica Alba…basically all of the world’s sexiest and most beautiful women.

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
