Nicolas Cage is a Big Spender

We don't want to say we told you so, but...

Even though Nicolas Cage is suing his former financial advisor over his "financial ruin," sources are claiming that the actor's own overspending habit is to blame for his current circumstances.

According to Jacob Bernstein of The Daily Beast, Cage's extravagant purchases included "more than a dozen houses, two Bahamian islands, dinosaur skulls, shrunken heads, the shah of Iran's Lamborghini," and more.

“He lived like a sheik,” a friend has reportedly said. “Spent money like it was water,” claims another.

However the lawsuit turns out, we're just hoping audiences aren't subjected to another National Treasure movie to keep Cage afloat.

Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
