The Hairspray Beatdown Beef Continues

October 2, 2008 at 10:49am PST

Remember when Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and former ANTM contestant Bianca Golden got all fist-a-cuffs in the Turks and Caicos airport on July 29th?

The battle continues, both in court (Nikki’s father, Carl, faces serious jail time) and across the airwaves. Bianca took her case to none other than Miss Tyra Banks to defend herself and her family’s innocence.

In an episode of The Tyra Banks Show (we love that hot mess), set to air on October 8th, Bianca, playing the sympathy card by saying her family was on the Caribbean island for a family reunion in her dying grandma’s honor (oh, please. To quote 25th Hour, that’s what grandmas do, they die) claims, this whole thing started because Nikki was rude to her aunt. Once a war of words started, Golden claims Carl busted in and punched her mom, knocking her off her feet. Then she says the whole Blonsky family jumped on her mother, including Nikki who kicked her mom in the vagina.

Bianca seems to be forgetting that we’ve all already seen video of what happened…and this isn’t it. Maybe her mom did get socked in the business, but the person who started the PHYSICAL fight was in the Golden family. There are a number of witnesses who attest to that.

Either way, the whole sad circus is just beyond belief. Why is it that people can’t remember the simplest rule of kindergarten…DO NOT HIT?!?!?!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
