New Kids on the Block Rocks Our World!!!

Last night we went to the New Kids on the Block concert at the Staples Center and it was so dope, we’re still high!

The crowd was stacked with 25-35 year old women (we played "Count the Boyfriend" and came up with under 30) including quite a few incredibly pregnant women (hey, pregnancy is only nine months, NKOTB back together is once in a lifetime!) and the screams ripping through the stadium were so loud and shrill, we’re shocked the windows weren’t shattered. We haven’t squealed like that since…well, the last time we saw the New Kids on tour.

As they emerged from the stage and launched into “You Got It (the Right Stuff)” and “Cover Girl,” the place erupted in shaking, screaming and verge-of-tears mass hysteria. It was fantastic!

When we were 13 and loved them, it was an innocent crush. Seeing them now, it was a whole new world and these Kids have grown into MEN! In fact, recently divorced Donnie Wahlberg (WE LOVE YOU, DONNIE!!!) had a posse of almost half a dozen pro-hos near the front of the stage who were led in and out by a troop of security. We would do just about anything to be one of his hoochies for the night!

Toward the end of the night, Donnie said, "You know what people are saying now; it's the same thing they said 20 years ago. They said you were too young to know what good music was, too young to have good taste. They said we were just five crazy guys from Boston. Well, who's crazy now?"

We are! We are insanely, rapturously in love (again) with NKOTB! They DID blow our minds this time.

Boys, hear our prayer: You need to pull a Rolling Stones and keep the dream alive. One tour in 15 years simply isn’t enough! The hatch has been blown on our love and now it’s flowing like a river! We’ll be hangin’ tough until the next glorious time we get to see you live, but please don’t make us wait another decade and a half!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
