Spike Lee Loses His Touch

Director Spike Lee, was spotted in Pasadena last night sneaking into an advanced screening of his new film The Miracle of St. Anna. 

We happened to be at the screening and wanted to run over to him and ask, “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING????”

After directing some of the best films in the past 30 years, ncluding the ground breaking Do The Right Thing, his epic, Malcolm X, and capturing New York’s broken heart, post 9-11, in 25th Hour, Miracle at St. Anna is confusing, convoluted, badly written, poorly acted, and uninterestingly shot. The one saving grace is Omar Benson Miller who is absolutely wonderful! (Not only do we hope he becomes a huge star, we really want to be his friend.)

We’re hoping Spike hits the cutting room hard, and tries to salvage his credibility although it’s difficult to see how.

Bad, bad, bad bad! Ohhh, Spike, what happened? You may want to shelve this bad boy before you have an Ishtar on your hands.
