Just when things were starting to look up for Mischa Barton, career-wise, her personal life has once again come crashing down.

The police were called to The OC star's house this past Wednesday and she has been kept in the hospital under psychiatric hold, forcing her to miss the premiereof her new movie, Homecoming.

The 23-year-old actress, who has a history of self-destructive behavior, but is hoping to make a comeback with her new film and her starring role in the CW's new show, A Beatiful Life, has reportedly been slipping back into her old ways.

Elle MacPherson will be joining Mischa Barton on the set of The CW's upcoming Ashton Kutcher-produced drama, A Beautiful Life.

The show, which follows a group of models living together and trying to make it big in New York City, is set to debut in the fall and will also star Corbin Blue.

MacPherson will be portraying Claudia, a high-powered model management executive who used to be a supermodel in the 80s. (So basically she will be playing herself, with a different job.)

Mischa Barton has reportedly been ordered to put on weight for her new TV show, A Beautiful Life.

We don’t believe that for one one millionth of a second.

First of all, Mischa plays a model on the show, and secondly, the show is on the CW, home of the new 90210, which is practically a 60-minute infomercial for eating disorders!

Not that Melrose Place isn’t going to suck, but it might suck a little less now that it’s been confirmed that Mischa Barton will NOT be joining the cast.

She gets her very own CW show to ruin.

Mischa has been cast in A Beautiful Life, a new semi-autobiographical show Ashton Kutcher is producing. It follows a corn-fed Iowa boy who embarks on the big bad world of modeling.

Mischa has been cast as Sonia, one of the bitchiest of the bitchy models.

Of course she has.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
