Lindsay Lohan will soon once again be a working actress.

That sound you just heard was hell freezing over.

Lohan has been cast in the lead role in an indie film entitled The Other Side after Katie Holmes was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Lindsay will play "a grad student who goes to spend her summer doing research on a remote island, where she discovers a community of eccentrics who share a secret." The movie also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Jason Lee, Alanis Morissette and Dave Matthews.

Here, kitty kitty.

What do you do when your devastatingly hot fiancé leaves you and finds love with The HoJo?

You eat your feelings for about six months, cry yourself to sleep every night and, eventually, get a tattoo that reminds you that, deep inside, there’s a proud, strong beast ready to prowl.

At least that’s what we think Alanis Morissette’s evolution has been since she and Ryan Reynolds broke up only to have him turn around and marry Scarlett Johansson.

Are you kidding us? Is this a joke?

Yesterday we lose Paul Newman, and today we wake to the news that the hottie with the body, Ryan Reynolds, has married Scarlett HoJo Johansson! The universe is cruel.

Ryan, 31, and HoJo, 23, have been engaged since May and were reportedly married in a remote wilderness resort on an island off the coast of Vancouver in Ryan’s native Canada. We hope Scarlett gets eaten by a bear. We hate her freakin’ guts and doubt this marriage will last past the seven year itch. HoJo will be a divorcee before she’s 30.

What a lucky hooch!!!

Alanis Morissette was interviewed by Newsweek for an article entitled Alanis and Her Anger. Surprisingly, she doesn’t come off as angry at all, even when the interview begins with this prod:

Newsweek:
“Let's just get it out of the way: how do you feel about your ex-boyfriend Ryan Reynolds's engagement to Scarlett Johansson?”
Alanis: [Laughs] I'm really happy for him.

Alanis Morissette opened up to People Magazine this week.

In a candid interview she says she's naturally optimistic but battled hard times over the last few years when she hit "rock bottom."

"I took a break over the past two and half years. I was tending to my personal life," says the singer, who called off her engagement to longtime boyfriend Ryan Reynolds in 2007.

The Boston Herald is reporting Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were spotted in the middle of a heated argument in Boston’s financial district earlier this week.

Is it wrong to say…YAY!!!!!!

Can we get an Amen? If the rumors are true and Ryan Gosling has fallen into the evil clutches of Kirsten Dunst, we need our other favorite Ryan, Reynolds, the one with the hottest body in Hollywood (have you seen “Blade 3”?), back where he belongs; in the arms of his adoring public!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
