Shaun of the Dead and Star Trek star Simon Pegg has become a father. The British actor and his wife Maureen McCann have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.

The couple has not yet revealed the baby's name.

Pegg, 39, is also godfather to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter, Apple, 5.

Last night we were invited to the Us Weekly/Absolut vodka party at Hollywood hot spot, Apple.

Sadly, because of New York Fashion Week, the celeb pickin’s were slim but then Lauren Conrad showed up, so hammered she could barely walk and refusing to have her photo taken by Us Weekly. She made sure she was surrounded by security and vodka for the rest of the night.

In a war of old-school irony vs. new-school snark, Microsoft has allegedly picked Mr. Puffy Shirt himself, Jerry Seinfeld, to star in their new ad campaign. Hoping that some of Seinfeld's self-depricating charm will help make the brand more approachable to a new crowd of consumers, the company has already agreed to pay him $10 million to star in the campaign.

When we saw Kathy Griffin making the red carpet rounds with Apple co-founder and mega billionaire Steve Wozniak, we thought what everyone thought: she’s screwing him for the dough.

Turns out, although they dated from July 2007-April 2008, they never went all the way.

"We were dating, but were just friendly. I never f----d him or anything!" she said. "The truth is we really were friends the whole time."
