Yesterday we reported that, according to Greene, one of the franchise’s stars, High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens had auditioned for the role of Leah, a female werewolf, in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

Because one blockbuster franchise isn’t enough for this Disney darling.

According to Ashley Greene, who plays Alice in the insanely successful Twilight franchise, High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens is reportedly in the running to play werewolf Leah Clearwater in the Twilight sequel New Moon.

As Leah, the werewolf pack’s lone female, Hudgens, 20, would have most of her scenes opposite Jacob Black played by Taylor Lautner, whose return was confirmed last week.

At the end of last year, we suggested that Twilight’s Ashley Greene and her cohort, 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord, might want to tone down the trashiness in the new year.

First there was word that Twilight’s Ashley Greene had sunk her fangs into 90210's Ryan “Leggo My” Eggold, and now AnnaLynne McCord and Kellan Lutz are reportedly dating.

Lutz is a cross over since he’s part of both the 90210 and Twilight casts, but damn, these kiddies keep cross pollinating.
