Don't mess with Sean Penn. Or take his photo.

A photographer claims he was assaulted by the two-time Academy Award winning actor.

The paparazzo's agency is claiming that Penn "emerged from his truck and walked over 50 feet towards the photog and kicked and punched him without provocation," and that he, "also berated the photog with obscenities and shouted that he would 'put you in a box' to the photog before going back to his house."

A sorry ass!

Chris Brown has apologized for beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in a video statement.

The 20-year-old singer released the two-minute video on his website on Monday admitting to fans he is sad and ashamed of his conduct.

Speaking directly to camera, Brown said he has apologized to Rihanna a number of times.

Rihanna and Chris Brown will finally come face-to-face...in a courtroom.

The judge in the case concerning Brown's alleged beating of his then girlfriend has set June 22 as the date for his preliminary hearing and Rihanna has been called to testify at that time. Her attorney has confirmed she will be present.

The hearing is meant to decide if there is enough evidence in the case to warrant continuing the proceedings.

Somebody better get used to seeing the inside of a courtroom.

Chris "I'm not a monster" Brown is being sued by a photographer named Robert Rosen who claims he was assaulted in March by Brown's bodyguards after taking a picture of him at the gym.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, released a statement yesterday saying,  "The is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday. He's done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this."

We'd agree that a little distance in order.

Terri Seymour, the ex-girlfriend of American Idol judge Simon Cowell, who was assaulted after the Idol finale by a woman who was angry about Simon fake-choking fellow judge Paula Abdul earlier in the season, has taken out a restraining order against her attacker.

That's probably a good call. Stay safe, Terri!

Kiefer Sutherland has designed himself a pretty sweet deal.

The charges related to the headbutting incident at the Costume Insitute Gala at the Met earlier this month between Sutherland and Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough are likely to be dropped.

The actor and designer have reached a deal and McCollough will no longer serve as a witness in the case.

Someone was really not pleased with the results of last night's American Idol finale.

Simon Cowell's ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, was assaulted as she left the Nokia Theatre, where the finale was filmed. A woman apparently approached Terri, asked her if she was Simon Cowell's girlfriend, and then attacked and choked her.

The suspect has been taken into custody. Seymour refused medical treatment and appears to be ok.

You've gotta watch out for those die-hard Adam Lambert fans, Terri!

Kiefer Sutherland, star of Fox's 24, turned himself into police at New York City’s First Precinct around 4pm yesterday.

He was arrested on the third-degree assault charge, photographed and fingerprinted, and walked out of the precinct at about 6pm accompanied by his Los Angeles lawyer, Blair Berk.

All this stems from an incident over the weekend where Kiefer allegedly headbutted fashion designer Jack McCullough without cause.

While the police have been investigating the night Chris Brown “allegedly” assaulted his girlfriend Rihanna, about $1 million worth of borrowed jewelry was sitting in an evidence locker, much to the chagrin of the lender.

Yesterday, all sides agreed that the items were to be photographed by police and returned to Rihanna, who could then return them to the jeweler.

Who can, in turn, sell them at a premium since they’re now infamous.

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, told the LA Superior Court on Wednesday that he intends to file a motion to dismiss the assault case against Brown because of police leaks in the investigation.

He implied that the case had been tampered with because of the photo of a badly beaten Rihanna that surfaced on the internet.

Despicable.

Geragos, who previously defended Michael Jackson during his child molestation case, is the slimiest of the slime. He thinks questioning police conduct is going to allow his abusive, sociopathic client to slither through. Sickening.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
