Yesterday we were very disappointed by Josh Brolin’s behavior when he received his award for Best Supporting Actor from the New York Critics Circle.
Once he sobered up, Josh realized what a schmuck he’d been and has publicly apologized for calling Russell Crowe an asshole. He is, however, standing by his tirade blast on New York Times critic Ben Brantley.
Josh claims, “It was the ambiance of the room. I love [Russell]. I think he’s amazing. He’s a friend. I was bummed out when I saw that.”
The word “ingrate” comes to mind.
Josh Brolin took his time at the podium after being acknowledged as Best Supporting Actor (for Milk) at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards dinner by giving an acceptance speech more in line with a Dennis Leary rant.
Cedric the Entertainer is not amused.
His play, David Mamet's American Buffalo co-starring John Leguizamo and Haley Joel Osment, opened on November 17th and closed just eight performances later, earning it the dubious honor of being one of the shortest running plays ever on Broadway.
But Cedric insists it wasn’t the acting, direction or actual play that’s to blame…it was one critic’s review.
