Say WHA?!?!!?

The new Gossip Girl spinoff starring Brittany Snow as a young Lily van der Woodsen might be on the chopping block at the CW, the network that keeps horrendous trash like 90210 2.0 on the air.

The Gossip Girl folks have released the first poster for the show's new spin-off, which will debut on May 11 as an episode of GG entitled Valley Girls.

We've got to say, we're a little bit underwhelmed.

The series will revolve around Lily van der Woodsen, played by Kelly Rutherford in Gossip Girl and Brittany Snow in the spin-off, and her wild-child days in LA in the 80s.

Zac Efron and his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens arrived at last night’s premiere of 17 Again at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Also there to support Zac-y Pooh were his High School Musical co-stars Monique Coleman, Olesya Rulin and Corbin Bleu, as well as the Jonas Brothers and his Hairspray co-star, an Vanessa’s good friend, Brittany Snow.

Is the Disney Posse Hollywood’s new Brat Pack?

Only they’re not bratty, drunken d-bags; they’re well-behaved, driven, articulate role models.

And we like it.

Zac Efron's FunnyorDie Video

Thursday April 9, 2009
Ummm, we hate to admit it, but the video Zac Efon and Adam Shankman did for FunnyorDie ain't very funny. Although we would love to know if Zac-y Pooh really does smell like waffles. We'll check on that and let you know as soon as possible. Is this funny or does it get the gas face?

Who’s hungry for a big ol’plate of awesome?

At yesterday’s press junket for 17 Again, Adam Shankman, who produced the film, announced the FunnyorDie clip he directed last week, yes, the one that features oodles of shirtless Zac-y Pooh, is set to premiere on the website Wednesday and will be shown before 17 Again when it hits theaters on April 17th.

Brittany Snow is officially getting some company on the credits of the up-coming Gossip Girl spin-off.

Andrew McCarthy, who starred in Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo's Fire in the 80s as part of the Brat Pack and most recently was seen on NBC's Lipstick Jungle, has signed on to play young Lily Rhodes' (before she was a van der Woodsen) father, Rick, a music company executive.

Brittany Snow!

Brittany will play a young Lily van der Woodsen in the Gossip Girl spin-off which focuses on Lily’s wild teenage years growing up in 1980s Los Angeles.

The fashion alone is going to be off the charts!

Reportedly Brittany received the role without even having to audition and is thrilled about her return to TV.

The pilot will air on May 11th as a Gossip Girl episode.

WE CANNOT WAIT!!!

Zac Efron celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday with a small dinner party at Pace in Laurel Canyon (their cedar planked salmon with roasted veggies and green beans is one of our favorite meals in LA).

Zac toasted his legality with a group of friends and family that included his parents and brother, girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, who helped plan the party, High School Musical costars Monique Coleman and Ashley Tisdale, The Tiz’s backup dancer boyfriend Jared Murillo, and his Hairspray co-stars Amanda Bynes and Brittany Snow.

Finding Amanda tells the story of Taylor Peters, a television writer and producer slogging through the dredges of sitcom hell on what many characters in the film refer to as “the worst show on television.” Once destined for greatness, he is now a Hollywood cautionary tale whose drinking, drug use and habitual gambling have spun his life out of control. When he discovers his niece is working as a prostitute in Vegas, he sets off to rescue her and hopefully, resurrect himself along the way.

Sounds like the makings of the next Leaving Las Vegas right?

Wrong!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
