Nothing like a little sun and fun on Memorial Day Weekend to help you forget all about your former boyfriend/current co-star.

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who split with ex-boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia earlier this year, was snapped yesterday enjoying a day on a yacht in Cannes with some friends, including James Blunt.

So, was this just a case of a few friends enjoying an afternoon on the water, or have Hayden and James officially boarded the Love Boat?

Quentin Tarantino is returning to Cannes, the film festival where his second movie, a film that changed cinema forever, Pulp Fiction, won the prestigious Palme d’Or in 1994.

Quentin’s new movie, Inglourious Basterds, about a group of Jewish-American soldiers on a covert mission to brutally terrorize Nazis during the French occupation, will be competing against Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock, Looking for Eric, which was directed by Ken Loach, who won the Palme d’Or in 2006 for The Wind That Shook the Barley, and 17 other films.

The Cannes Film Festival came to a close this weekend with the French film The Class (Entre les Murs) taking top honors. It was the first time a French film has won the prestigious Palme d’Or since 1987 winner Under Satan’s Sun.

Jury president Sean Penn called The Class an “amazing, amazing film…virtually seamless. All the performances, magic. All the writing, magic. It just touched us so deeply.”

Michelle Williams made her first public appearance since the shocking, sudden and tragic death of Heath Ledger, her former fiancé and the father of their two-year-old daughter, Matilda.

She arrived at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Adoration looking angelically radiant. The film was directed by Atom Egoyan (Where the Truth Lies) and stars one of our favorites, Scott Speedman.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have been rumored to be a couple for over a year now. Lohan has never spoken out against the rumors, although recently her mother claimed the two are just "really good friends."

Riiiiiight...friends with benefits.

Here they are holding hands as they leave P. Diddy's party in Cannes, where they reportedly cuddled, nuzzling each other, giggled and danced the night away. We have to say, Samantha looks more and more like a dude every day.

Honestly, they make a pretty cute couple.

Despite battling a stormy sea of mixed reviews (The Hollywood Reporter called it "A wearying onslaught of action and effects,” while Variety assured us "The world can rest easy. The old magic still works ... Mission accomplished.") Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premiered at Cannes last night and received a hero’s welcome: a four minute standing ovation.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
