Is Katie Couric headed for the next season of Dancing with the Stars? She certainly has some moves.
She obviously didn't think these pictures would get out there, but we sort of love her for them. Couric knows how to have a good time, clearly, and we sort of want to go clubbing with her now! (We're not sure how her bosses at CBS feel about this though.)
After ninety-nine episodes, will we finally get to meet The Mother on How I Met Your Mother? Sources say, well, maybe.
The writers have been teasing us through five seasons and we're closer to knowing her identity than we've ever gotten before, now that we know that she's in Ted's class (he's teaching architecture for those of you who aren't caught up).
Yesterday we mentioned that this is the time of the year when shows are either renewed or canned.
Sometimes, however, both happen.
Medium, the show on which Patricia Arquette stars as a psychic who can see ghosts and uses her dreams to solve crimes, was canceled by NBC earlier this week, but has since been picked up by CBS.
Insert pun about the show rising from the dead here.
The Simpsons made television history this week by being picked up by Fox for two more seasons, through its 22nd season, making it the longest running show ever on TV.
The animated comedy, which has won 24 Emmys over the last 20 seasons, was renewed for 44 more episodes over the next two years, which will bring the total number of episodes to a whopping 493.
The previous record holder was the CBS Western Gunsmoke which ran for 20 seasons before going off the air in 1975.

Emmy award-winning comedian Wanda Sykes surprised a crowd of demonstrators in Las Vegas yesterday by speaking candidly about her sexual orientation and her recent marriage.
The rally, one of many held simultaneously in major cities around the country yesterday, was a protest against the passing of Proposition 8 in California, the ballot initiative which once again banned gay marriage in the state.
Samuel L. Jackson has signed a two year deal to develop and executive producer shows for CBS through his Uppity Films production company.
Jackson follows in the footsteps of Sandra Bullock and Selma Hayek, both of whom produced successful TV shows that they oversaw but did not star in (Bullock: The George Lopez Show, Hayek: Ugly Betty).
Jennie Garth might be returning to her roots on 90210 as Kelly Taylor. Dreams really do come true! Between the NKOTB reunion and this, life is too good for the children of the 90’s.
Once America’s morning sweetheart, her tenure as anchorwoman at the CBS evening news has brought record low ratings. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that even though her contract isn’t up until 2011, it looks like she’ll be leaving the anchor desk after the presidential inauguration early next year.
CBS has been spending about $15 million a year on Couric and the Evening News still trails NBC and ABC’s broadcasts by over 2 million viewers.
Time for heads to roll!
Maybe she can get her job at Today back. If she’s really lucky, Oprah will adopt her.
