Christian Bale told the Chicago Sun-Times that he did not become Johnny Depp's friend on the set of Public Enemies (out today) because he prefers not to talk between takes.

Smokin' Hot!

Actress Amber Heard (Pineapple Express) was snapped at the LA premiere of Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.

No wonder why she is smiling, she looks flawless!

And who wouldn't be happy about starring alongside Depp in the upcoming Hunter S. Thompson novel-turned-film, The Rum Diary.

Christian Bale is stepping into the boxing ring with Mark Wahlberg.

The two have signed on to co-star in Darren Aronofsky’s new film The Fighter, his follow up to The Wrestler.

We’re sensing a theme here.

Bale will play troubled, crack-addicted real-life boxer Dicky Eklund and Wahlberg will play his half-brother, also a boxer, “Irish” Mickey Ward.

This bad boy has Oscar written all over it.

Matt Damon and Brad Pitt were originally signed on to star.

We should have heeded the warnings!

We were told by NUMEROUS sources that The Informers, adapted by Bret Easton Ellis from his novel and directed by Gregor Jordan (Buffalo Soldiers), was absolutely terrible.

For some twisted, sadistic reason, we thought we need to come to that decision on our own.

We have no one to blame but ourself.

The Informers is about what everything Bret Easton Ellis writes is about: yuppies, drugs, promiscuous sex, disconnection, blah blah blah.

We’ve been speculating on how this would go down for months and now it seems there’s some drama surrounding who will accept Heath Ledger’s Golden Globe for The Dark Knight, since his win is a foregone conclusion.

According to reports, Heath’s father Kim “desperately” wants to do it, but “the studio and the producers would rather have Michelle receive it on behalf of [their daughter] Matilda.”

We saw this coming months ago.

The Dark Knight is being re-released in January in an effort to remind Oscar voters just how good it was. Besides, you know the studio is gunning for Heath Ledger’s posthumous Best Supporting Actor win.

The film has grossed more than $996 million worldwide so far and this re-release is expected to push it over the billion dollar mark when it returns to theaters on January 23rd, the day after the announcement of this year’s Oscar nominations.

Hugh Jackman, 40, has been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.

He joins the distinguished ranks of Matt Damon (last year’s honoree), Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Patrick Swayze (sigh) and Denzel Washington.

This year’s honorable mentions are bestowed on Daniel Craig, Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Seal, Robert Downey Jr., Will Smith, Christian Bale and David Beckham with young bucks Kevin Jonas, Bow Wow and Jesse McCartney listed as up-and-comers.

American Psycho, the subversively sexy Christian Bale serial killer cult classic, is heading to Broadway as a musical. How awesome would it be if Christian came back and starred in it? Who else could possibly deliver as Patrick Bateman quite like Bale?

We can see it now: Dancing girls in body bags high-kick while a half-naked, blood-soaked psychopath runs around on stage with a chainsaw singing “I’m going to kill you!”

Assault charges against Christian Bale, stemming from an argument between him, his mother, Jenny, 61, and sister, Sharon, 41, after the London premiere of his mega-blockbuster film The Dark Knight, have been dropped. The alleged assault occurred after his sister reportedly asked Bale to lend her 100,000 pounds.

Prosecutors at England’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reviewed the case and determined it wouldn’t be in the public interest to pursue nor is there sufficient evidence to gain a conviction.

Morgan Freeman is recovering after undergoing surgery Monday following a car accident on Sunday in Mississippi. (Shia LaBeouf déjà vu.)

“Morgan is doing well after surgery last night to reconnect nerves and to repair damage to his left arm and hand ago at the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center at The MED, at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis,” his rep said. “The surgery lasted approximately four-and-a-half hours and he is in good spirits and was visiting with family members this morning.”

Freeman is expected to be released in the next few days.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
