We love us some JGL and have been following his website, Hitrecord.org, for some time now.
Yesterday he put up a personal message, almost a press release, about his new film, Hesher, which he’ll shoot before starring in the next film from Christopher Nolan (Memento, The Dark Knight).
He writes:
Dane Cook isn't the only celebrity with troubled siblings.
Matthew Francis Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan, director of The Dark Knight, may be a real-life villain.
Matthew has been arrested in Chicago and is under investigation due to his suspected involvement in a bank fraud scheme and the kidnapping and murder of Florida businessman Robert C. Cohen in 2005 in Costa Rica.
According to a new report, Eddie Murphy and Shia LaBeouf will be joining the cast of the next Batman film being developed under the title Gotham.
Murphy would reprise the Riddler role played by Jim Carrey in the 1995 film Batman Forever while LaBitch would be playing Robin (ugh). Earlier rumors had Johnny Depp in the running for the Riddler role.
We saw this coming months ago.
The Dark Knight is being re-released in January in an effort to remind Oscar voters just how good it was. Besides, you know the studio is gunning for Heath Ledger’s posthumous Best Supporting Actor win.
The film has grossed more than $996 million worldwide so far and this re-release is expected to push it over the billion dollar mark when it returns to theaters on January 23rd, the day after the announcement of this year’s Oscar nominations.
Michael Caine felt extra chatty at the Toronto Film Festival where he’s promoting Is There Anybody There? The Batman star spilled some major casting beans.
The Dark Knight is a new breed of filmmaking.
It’s a summer blockbuster about morality, an action film with emotional heft, a popcorn flick that takes pride in the chiaroscuro of each shot, a weighty tale of justice and valor told with an unflinching honesty, a thrill ride driven by impeccable acting…and it’s all based on a comic book.
In short, there has never been anything like it.
Wanna see something crazy? College Humor did a side by side comparison of the new Dark Knight trailer next to the original Batman trailer in 1989.
They’re IDENTICAL!
Was that done on purpose by director, Christopher Nolan? It’s eerie!
