Despite trying to keep the news hush-hush, friends and family threw Jennifer Hudson, 27, a baby shower over the weekend in Chicago to celebrate  the expected arrival of her first child.

She is engaged to boyfriend David Otunga, who you may remember from VH1’s I Love New York. And who is now pursuing a pro-wrestling career. Really? Good luck with that.

Reports claim the Grammy-winning actress is seven months along.

With everything that gal has been through, she deserves all the happiness in the world.

Congrats to the mom to be!

Jennifer Hudson’s boyfriend of less than a year, David Otunga, popped the question to the singer (anyone who saw Sex and the City:The Movie knows Hudson should NEVER be called an actress again; Dreamgirls was a fluke) on Friday, the eve of her 27th birthday.

Otunga, aka “Punk” from I Love New York 2, proposed with a Neil Lane diamond ring and Hudson said yes. No wedding date has been announced yet.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
