We are devastated to hear that Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with cancer. He passed away on Monday. He was fifty-seven, and clearly went way before his time.

Patrick Swayze has been honored with the Rolex Dance Award.

The Dirty Dancing star has been battling pancreatic cancer since the beginning of 2008 and recent reports suggest he’s close to the end.

The thought of losing Patrick breaks our heart, so he better still be around in November when he’ll receive the award at a gala in New York.

Rolex Watch president Allen Brill says, “It is an honor to present the Rolex Dance Award to Patrick Swayze, one of the most recognizable American actors, dancers, and singer/songwriters of our time.”

Last night we went to a movie with our dear friends John, Heidi and Jenny.

But it wasn’t just any movie…it was Dirty Dancing, on the big screen!

Sigh.

F—k me gently with a chain saw.

We can’t fight this tsunami of remakes, so we’re afraid we’re just going to have to get on the bus and ride it. (Except the Karate Kid redo; that we will fight to our dying breath.)

Heathers is being made into a musical for Broadway.

Lick it up, baby. Lick. It. Up.

The 1988 classic has been in staged readings for the past week with Kristen Bell as Veronica Sawyer, Winona Ryder’s part, and Christian Campbell as J.D., a part made iconic by Christian Slater.

What's better than New Kids on the Block, Medival Times and Patrick Swayze references?

Nothing.

Left: Jennifer Grey. Right: Gloria Estefan.

We love Jennifer and Dirty Dancing changed our life but she never should have gotten started with plastic surgery. She was totally unrecognizable at Wednesday’s premiere of Choke, a film her husband Clark Gregg wrote, directed and acts in.

We will refrain from comment on all the botox paralyzing her face into that joker’s mask but we have to ask; Baby, what happened to you?

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
