Terrence Howard is a whiny little bitch.
The Chris Brown supporting dingleberry is still venting about the fact that he was replaced in Iron Man 2 by Don Cheadle.
Dude, it was almost seven months ago. Move on!
Gripping, combustible, visceral, heart-pounding, stomach churning; these are just a few words to describe Antoine Fuqua’s latest film, Brooklyn's Finest, starring Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Richard Gere, which premiered yesterday at the Sundance Film Festival.
The film can best be described simply as brilliant.
Josh Brolin has brought The People Speak, the creation of editor and activist Anthony Arnove and historian Howard Zinn, to life.
After Zinn wrote his brilliant book The People’s History of the United States (if you haven’t read it, you might remember the reference from Good Will Hunting), he and Arnove collaborated on Voices of a People’s History of the United States, a compilation of some of the greatest speeches in our nation’s history, which Brolin is bringing to the big screen with the help of stars like Matt Damon and Sean Penn.
Don Cheadle has been cast to replace Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2.
Howard played Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark/Iron Man's best friend and his future armor-clad cohort War Machine. In a scene toward the end of the movie, he longingly gazes at a silver suit of armor as Iron Man flies off and says, “Next time” (such a rad moment in an already bitchin’ movie) setting up Rhodes transformation into War Machine, and a much larger part, in the sequel, which Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder) is currently writing.
But there won’t be a next time for Howard.
Yesterday, seven thousand mourners packed the Chicago memorial service honoring Bernie Mac.
Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and Rev. Jesse Jackson attended the emotional service that was part late-night stand up routine, though the jokes were told with a heavy heart. Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama and Andy Garcia also sent condolences.
Meet Jesse Williams.
You may not know him yet, but you will. He’s the only reason to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2…and you get to see a lot of him (though we happily would’ve accepted and enjoyed more of a show). Next up, he appears alongside Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes (if the judge lets him), Richard Gere and Don Cheadle in Antoine Fuqua’s new film, Brooklyn’s Finest.
We’re calling it now: by this time next year, everybody will know his name!
Besties Matt Damon and Ben Affleck (aka: Will and Chuckie) leave the wifeys at home and head to Vegas for the 2nd annual "Ante Up for Africa" poker tournament hosted by Don Cheadle at the Rio. The poker tournament raises awareness and funds for the "Not on our Watch" project, but MattandBen were more interested in watching Matt’s waistline.
Ethan Hawke looks terrible as he walks around the set of his latest movie, Brooklyn’s Finest, in New York on Tuesday.
The film is helmed by Antoine Fuqua, the director of 2001’s Training Day, which earned Hawke an Oscar nomination. It centers around three unconnected Brooklyn cops winding up at the same deadly location after enduring vastly different career paths. Richard Gere, Ellen Barkin and Don Cheadle co-star in the film.
James Caan gets in for the good stuff with Anjelica Huston as they arrive for the Cinevegas Film Festival Half-Life Awards.
Sexxxy.
The award ceremony honored the film works of James Caan, Anjelica Huston, Don Cheadle, Rosario Dawson, Robert Duvall, Clark Gregg and Sam Rockwell. The event was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, where the temperature was 108° F and only getting’hotter if Caan had his way.
