Did you notice anything missing at Sunday’s Oscars?
Perhaps an homage to Eartha Kitt in the “In Memoriam” section?
Whoops.
Eartha’s former publicist is heated and is speaking up against the Academy’s omission.
Kitt died at age 81 on Christmas Day after losing her battle with colon cancer.
He told the New York Post, “The producers are either 12 or have been living under a rock for the past 60 years. It’s clear that they thought that publicist Warren Cowan was more of a household name. Go figure.”
Buuurn.
But so true.
We were just telling our mother how "Santa Baby" is our favorite Christmas carol and then we heard this awful news; Eartha Kitt, one of the greatest voices on earth, died on Christmas Day in New York City.
The groundbreaking actress and sultry singer, who broke a major color barrier by stepping into the role of Catwoman on the 1960s Batman TV series after Julie Newmar left the show, had been battling colon cancer.
When you’re talking Eartha Kitt you must roll those R’s, dahling.
Tisha Campbell (aka Gina, as in “Daaaaaaayum, Gina”, on Martin Lawrence’s hit 90s show Martin) arrived at last night’s premiere of Zack and Miri Make a Porno looking so much like the former Catwoman we almost choked on our Whiskas.
Everyone should be so lucky to grow older looking like Eartha Kitt!
