NBC is taking on the groundbreaking UK drama series Prime Suspect.

We love stealing from the British don’t we?! (Can you say, "The Office"?)

Lynda La Plante created the original drama series, which aired from 1991-2006, and was positively received because it featured a woman as head of a murder squad.  Critics also praised the drama for its realistic portrayal of a police unit.

Peter Falk, 81, who will always be remembered for his multi-Emmy winning role as Lieutenant Columbo on the popular Columbo series, is suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Falk’s daughter, Catherine, has filed papers stating her father is no longer able to run his own life, is unable to recognize familiar people, places or things and that he needs to be placed under a conservatorship order to protect him from “fraud or undue influence.”

She claims her father “requires full-time custodial care for his health and safety.”

Salma Hayek has signed on for a recurring role on the Emmy winning show 30 Rock as Elisa, the love interest of Alec Baldwin's character Jack Donaghy.

Salma and Alec were snapped filming her first few scenes on location in Brooklyn yesterday. Salma is going to bring fire, passion and some outrageous cleavage to 30 Rock. Look at her in that dress! She could smother someone.

30 Rock kicks off its new season on October 30th.

Hottie House star Hugh Laurie has signed a deal for $400,000 per episode, making him one of the highest paid actors on television (CSI’s William Peterson made $600K and Kiefer Sutherland rakes in $500K per episode of 24).

Laurie will also get a producing credit (like Peterson and Sutherland) on the medical drama, which kicks off its fifth season later this month. The lucrative deal adds another year to Laurie’s contract, ensuring he’ll be stacking cheddar like a Rockefeller until 2012.

America Ferrera and Blake Lively arrive at the world premiere of The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2 at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City on Monday night looking lovely in vibrant, colorful gowns.

It’s crazy to think that when the film’s first installment premiered in 2005, America was known for her Curves but she hadn’t gotten Ugly and won an Emmy yet and the big Gossip about Blake was that this was her first real acting job.

What a difference three years makes.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
