Maura Tierney, 44, will undergo surgery for a breast tumor.

The actress who made her name on NBC’s ER as Abby Lockheart spoke out in a press release from NBC Universal announcing that Tierney was ill and that her treatment would delay the production of her new series, Parenthood, previously scheduled to premiere Sept. 23, but now pushed to mid-season.

George Clooney’s reappearance on ER with Julianna Margulies was considered so top secret it was shot outside of LA, without the knowledge of NBC.

It was a major covert operation according to Julianna.

She tells TV Guide Magazine, “My last episode was done in complete secrecy. George flew from Burbank and I flew from LAX and we met in Seattle with only John Wells and our director of photography.

The truth is, we stopped watching ER about ten seasons ago but last night, with the return of Dr. Doug Ross, we had to tune in.

And we spent half the episode, titled “Old Times” asking “WTF?”

Eric LaSalle and Noah Wyle all BFF while Noah gets a kidney transplant? John Stamos whizzing in and out of scenes with Ernest Borgnine? Some super hot Australian dude who’s the love child of Jonathan Tucker and Simon Baker?

Whasagoinon?

Alexis Bledel has signed on to guest-star on the two-hour series finale of ER.

Bledel will play new intern Dr. Julia Wise.

The final episode will be Alexis’ one and only appearance on the show, which is ending its fourteen season run on April 2nd.

Hmmm…

It sounds to us like they might be setting up a spin off.

Someone get that man a Caesar cut, stat!

George Clooney is reportedly returning to ER for its final season.

No one knows how many episodes he’ll appear on or what his appearance entails, the show’s co-creator John Wells has ordered a closed set to keep details under wraps, but The Clooney will be donning the scrubs that made him a star.

Michael Crichton, the blockbuster best-selling author of "Jurassic Park," "Timeline," "The Andromeda Strain" and who also created ER, now in its 14th and final season, a man who made scientific research not only spellbinding but hip, died Tuesday in Los Angeles at age 66 after privately battling cancer.

Can…barely…move…eyebrow. Must…try…to…smile. Face…too…stiff.

At first, we couldn’t even tell who this was. Any guesses?

It’s Maria Bello at the premiere of her new film, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Apparently, Maria’s been making trips to Joan Allen’s dermatologist.

Remember when Maria was on ER and could actually register emotion?

Angela Bassett is joining the cast of ER for the show’s fifteenth and final season according to The Hollywood Reporter.

This is Bassett’s first foray as a television series regular. ER's been waiting to exhale (aka: death rattle) for a long time but adding some Bassett juice makes us actually intrigued to watch a bit of this last hoorah.

Next year, NBC's "ER" will end its run after a FIFTEENTH and final season.

Did you even know it was still on?

We will always love ER for bringing George Clooney into our living room every Thursday from 1994-2000 but, we have to admit, that's about when we stopped watching. Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, Georgie Poo, you certainly were Must See TV.

Golf claps.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
