In an effort to not make this the Gilles Marini show, the judges invited Li’l Kim and Derek to encore their Viennese Waltz.

The first safe couples are Shawn and Mark followed by Li’l Kim and Derek.

Next, Etta James took the stage to shut Beyonce down and sing “At Last,” which Maks and Karina danced to.

We have to admit, Etta didn’t sound as good as she has in years past, maybe she lost a bit of her voice along with all that weight she recently shed.

We firmly believe that 99% of the time, when people say “I was kidding,” it’s because they realize they either said something too truthful or really hurtful.

Etta James is not an exception to that rule.

The music legend now claims her recent rant, where she called Obama “the one with the big ears” and offered up an ass whoopin’ for Knowles, was a joke.

Etta James is the BOMB!

We’ve loved her for years, but the fact that she called out Beyonce Knowles for a beat down makes her fabulous beyond measure.

Beyonce and her faux-humility – to cover the raging God Complex – get on our last nerve.

Last night American Idol premiered with a new judge and a kinder, gentler audition round.

Rather than watching head cases massacre Etta James’ “At Last,” Idol decided to focus on people who can actually, Gasp, sing and a judge who sincerely wants to, whaaaa?; critique and judge.

Where’s the fun in that?

Instead of car-wreck antics from the contestants, most of the premiere drama came from the Idol regulars.

Cadillac Records premiered at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood last night.

Beyonce, for once, kept her armpits out of the photo while working a delectable Dolce and Gabbana dress, Etta James, slimmer and trimmer than she’s been in decades after undergoing gastric bypass and losing 200 pounds, was stunning while Adrian Brody decided he wanted to work the Rock-Me-Sexy-Jesus look. Is that a tip of the hat to Hamlet 2? When did Brody get so skeevy?

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were snapped last night leaving their hotel and heading to a private screening of Ange’s film Changeling at the Curzon cinema in Mayfair, London.

We can’t get over how they look at one another. David Cassidy and Etta James sang songs entirely devoted to looks like the one Ange is giving Brad.

You know what she’s thinking? “Baby, even with that pornstache, you’re still succulent.”

Grammy winning R & B legend Etta James, 69, performed at the Hollywood Bowl last night and she looked incredible!

She’s half the woman she used to be!

Since gastric bypass surgery in 2004, Etta has lost over 200 pounds. Her 1961 ballad, “At Last”, which is continually butchered at American Idol auditions and has been many a wedding couple’s first dance song, is still James’ calling card and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
