This is the stuff sad country songs are made of.
Former Dancing with the Stars pro Julianne Hough and her boyfriend of over a year, country singer Chuck Wicks, have split. The couple remains good friends, however, Hough insists.
If you happen to have an idea for a movie that's never been made before, now might be a good time to move to LA.
Because at the rate Hollywood is going, they're going to run out of cherished films from the past to remake.
The latest in a string of childhood memory butcherings is a remake of 1985's Girls Just Want to Have Fun, the movie which originally starred Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker, which is being developed as a Miley Cyrus vehicle.
Chace Crawford has broken ranks with his many of his fellow Gossip Girl co-stars and looked outside of the show's cast to find a new mate.
Crawford has apparently been getting cozy with 19-year-old Sports Illustrated model Esti Ginzburg, with whom he will co-star in Joel Schumacher's upcoming film Twelve.
Maybe she's helping him stay limber for the Footloose remake.
Unfortunately, Kevin Bacon isn't in Footloose shape anymore.
Bacon was in a subway station in New York on Thursday when a thief swiped his Blackberry. The actor, 50, chased the guy down, but he got away.
Wait, are times really so bad that Kevin Bacon has to take the subway?
On the bright side, if they ever find the guy he can get his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, to get the confession.
We were afraid this would happen.
Paramount Pictures confirmed yesterday that Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford will be starring in High School Musical director Kenny Ortega's remake of Footloose, which was originally supposed to feature Zac Efron.
Like we've already said: We love Chace on GG but he is no Zac-y Pooh or Kevin Bacon, and we're not sure he can do Ren McCormack justice.
“If I only knew then what I know now.”
From that simple cliché, 17 Again, a film many people are heralding as Zac Efron’s coming out party as a leading man, was born.
Our boy Zac Efron is all over the place promoting his new film 17 Again.
USA Weekend has an article with Zac where he explains his decision to step away from Disney, the High School Musical franchise and movies like Footloose, saying, “I’m at a transition point…My taste is changing. I’m growing up.”
He goes on to say, “I didn’t want to be famous. I get sick of seeing my own face around.”
Oh no they didn’t!
Now that Zac Efron is out of the new Footloose update, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford is reportedly a front runner to take on the role.
We love Chace. We love staring at him, we love ogling him, but he’s one of those boys were every time he speaks we want to cover his mouth and say “Shhh, you’re ruining it.”
It’s not that he’s a bad guy, he’s just not a very good actor, and he’s certainly no Ren McCormack.
What about Robert Hoffman?
While we’re still sorely disappointed that Zac-y Pooh has dropped out of Footloose, we understand his desire to be seen as more than a teeny bop aberration.
After watching his performance in 17 Again, we realized something that managed to evade us before: Zac is incredibly talented.
It’s time for him to step into the big leagues and earn some respect so he can build a sustainable career.
We're seeing Zac next week and we plan on having a very serious convo about a new report that he's pulled out of Footloose.
According to inside sources, Zac told the studio last week that he doesn't want to do another musical at this point in his career for fear he'll be pigeon-holed.
