Original 90210 Intro

Monday September 15, 2008
We are so throughly disappointed at the overwhelming suckiness of the new 90210 that we needed to cleanse our palate. May we present the brilliant OG 90210 intro. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

90210 is already slipping in the ratings and now one of the few reasons to watch, Shannen Doherty, has announced that after her four episode run, she will not be signing on for future episodes.

The announcement follows her co-star Jennie Garth agreeing to add another five episodes to her stint on show. She knows they need her. Jennie is kind of the Heather Locklear of Melrose Place on the new 90210.

After months of sheer exhilaration, last night we gleefully tucked into the premiere of 90210. Two hours later, we were left slightly baffled, a little annoyed and generally disappointed.

Having been in our adolescent prime the first time the show premiered, we wondered if our reaction was a mixture of bitter nostalgia and cantankerous “I’m too old to enjoy something like this” elitism but the night before we’d be rapturous at the return of Gossip Girl. This wasn’t us being crotchety, 90210 2.0 simply didn’t deliver.

After much speculation, People has confirmed that Kelly Taylor is returning to that exclusive zip code, 90210!

As rumored, Jennie Garth will make special guest appearances on the CW's new spinoff of Beverly Hills, 90210, playing a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly High.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
