Although, Girls Gone Wild CEO, Joe Francis, still has lawsuits pending against him, he has reason to celebrate.
He settled government charges and will pay a fine that is chump change to the low-budget pornographer and won't spend any more time in jail. He pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors (filing false tax returns and bribing Nevada Jail workers to bring him food) and will pay back taxes totaling $249,705.
Joe Francis is wanted by Los Angeles authorities after failing to show up for a court hearing in his on-going tax evasion case.
The Girls Gone Wild mogul was supposed to appear in court on Monday because his legal counsel doesn’t want to defend him against allegations that he filed a fraudulent tax return worth $20 million.
Francis was a no-show and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
He’s currently scheduled to stand trial in March and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Jay Mohr brought his wife, former Las Vegas star Nikki Cox, with him to yesterday’s announcement of the People’s Choice Award nominees.
Apparently, Take Your Wife to Work Day coincided this year with I Hate Buttons and Bras Month and I Have No Career But I Do Have a Fabulous Rack Week.
The look on Jay’s face should come with head gear and a crash helmet. Seriously, was he drunk???
