Gossip Girl

Don't we have certain unalienable rights? Life, love, and not having to wait three months for new episodes of Gossip Girl? We're paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson here, but you get the idea.

Our Monday nights have been sadder since December, but the good news is that it will be back starting next week and we'll get ten episodes in a row!

Some of the biggest stars of the small screen are lining up to hit the big screen.

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester has signed on to star with House's Hugh Laurie in The Oranges, an indie fild directed by Julian Farino, one of the men behind HBO's Entourage.

It pains us to say it, but it's the truth: This season of our beloved Gossip Girl has been fairly lackluster. It looks like the show, however, intends to go out with a bitchy bang.

Michelle Trachtenberg, who currently stars on NBC's Mercy, will reprise her role as psycho chick Georgina in the show's season finale.

And apparently G will be mixing things up with a certain male character as she hatches her vengeful plans.

There are some characters on Gossip Girl whose looks are obviously based on real life people. Little J's styling, for example, is clearly a riff on a raccoon who spent the night in a dumpster.

Gossip Girl stylist Eric Daman has admitted that the styling of Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen, is inspired by model Kate Moss.

What happens When in Rome doesn't stay in Rome. (That almost worked, right?)

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard met on the set while filming the movie and now the couple are engaged. We don't know any other details.

While many stars are following the lead of George Clooney and Wyclef Jean and contributing their time and hard work to relief efforts in Haiti, there's one young star you won't see getting her hands dirty.

A gossip girl is going green!

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has been cast to play Carol Ferris, aka Star Sapphire, the female lead in the upcoming Green Lantern film. Carol is also the main love interest of Hal Jordan, played by the love of our life, Ryan Reynolds.

The movie will begin filming in March and is set to be released in June, 2011.

She might not have been hot enough for a threesome this week, but who has the most coveted hair these days? Yup, it's Serena van der Woodsen.

In the 1970s it was the "Farrah," in the 1990s it was the "Rachel," and now hairstylists are saying women are coming in asking for hair just like Blake Lively's on Gossip Girl.

Hilary Duff kissing a girl on TV: cool. Hilary Duff kissing Vanessa on Gossip Girl: NOT cool!

Okay, so Gossip Girl hasn't been stellar so far this season. We love H. Duff, but even she can't save the show from the proverbial freshman fifteen (or whatever you want to call it)!

But maybe, just maybe, one of our other faves can. Here we have a snapshot from the set of the show where Lady Gaga (!) is set to perform on the November 16th episode.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
