Hayden Panettiere is making her move to behind the camera.

The Heroes actress is set to be the co-executive producer of a new drama for the CW called HMS about a group of Harvard Medical School students (sidenote: what is with that channel's love of shows with three letter abbreviations, anyway?). The show's writer and other executive producer is Amy Holden Jones, who wrote Mystic Pizza.

Hayden Panettiere, Heroes star, showed up at The Late Show With David Letterman in what we think is supposed to be a dress.

The black lace is certainly sexy, but doesn’t leave too much to the imagination.

Panettiere was no doubt promoting her new flick, I Love You Beth Cooper, which opens on Friday.

Hey, I guess if you got it flaunt it, right?!

Nothing like a little sun and fun on Memorial Day Weekend to help you forget all about your former boyfriend/current co-star.

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, who split with ex-boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia earlier this year, was snapped yesterday enjoying a day on a yacht in Cannes with some friends, including James Blunt.

So, was this just a case of a few friends enjoying an afternoon on the water, or have Hayden and James officially boarded the Love Boat?

We were afraid this would happen.

Paramount Pictures confirmed yesterday that Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford will be starring in High School Musical director Kenny Ortega's remake of Footloose, which was originally supposed to feature Zac Efron.

Like we've already said: We love Chace on GG but he is no Zac-y Pooh or Kevin Bacon, and we're not sure he can do Ren McCormack justice.

After 72 years, Guiding Light is flickering out.

The show, which predates television, began as a 15-minute serial on NBC Radio in January 1937 and debuted on CBS in 1952.

"Being on the air for more than seven decades is truly remarkable, and it will be difficult for all of us at the show to say goodbye," said Executive Producer Ellen Wheeler. "This show has such a rich history, wonderful fans, and I'm honored to have been a part of the GL legacy."

This is why you should never mix business with pleasure.

Heroes’ costars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia broke up last month but still have to see each other while working on the show, which, inexplicably, just got picked up for another season.

Not if Hayden has anything to say about it.

The 19-year-old mini-diva is campaigning to have her 31-year-old ex kicked off the show.

On a cigarette.

The 19-year-old was seen puffing on a cancer stick while wandering around Waikiki with a girlfriend.

The Heroes star is in Hawaii to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the historic Royal Hawaiian hotel.

Nothing says celebration like emphysema, cancer, wrinkles and blood clots.

Good call, Hayden.

We thought there was a chance Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia broke up because they knew that writing their two names side by side was such a massive pain in the ass they were doing us a favor, but now there’s a new, very interesting, rumor.

Reportedly the split was caused by a pregnancy scare.

If you're not buying the age difference as the reason for the break up of Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere, we have any alternate theory: they came to the realization that they have two of the most annoying to spell last names in the world.

The more we write about celebrities the more we realize that many of the stars we love to hate have overly complicated surnames or totally unnecessary consonants stuck in random places (Scarlett Johannsen, anyone?).

Heroes costars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia have broken up.

We were wondering when that was going to happen.

He’s 31, she’s 19. We’re surprised it lasted as long as it did.

They’ve been together since the end of 2007 but kept their relationship under wraps until Hayden turned 18…and their looove became legal.

While Hayden is all about using her celebrity to get into Hollywood clubs, Milo is focusing on launching his production company, Divide Pictures.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
