Hugh Dancy

Our favorite cute couple got married a few weeks ago and we're just hearing about it now! Our invitation must have gotten lost in the mail.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy had a quiet ceremony in France. They met while making the movie Evening and announced their engagement in February.

In Adam, a beautiful, simple, heartbreaking film, Rose Byrne and Hugh Dancy play New Yorkers who meet in the laundry room of their glorious Manhattan brownstone. She’s lovely, he’s handsome, she’s a school teacher who wants to write children’s books, he’s got Asperger’s Syndrome, which essentially means he’s high functioning autistic.

Whoa! The record scratches.

Adam was one of our favorite movies at Sundance and it hits theaters today.

Hugh Dancy, our beloved Brit, talked to BlackBook this month about the problematic side of playing a man with Asperger's Syndrome in Adam (out August 7):

“This project was rife with opportunities for me to f**k it up enormously and, by doing so, prove my own limitations. To botch the whole thing would have been calamitous.”

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy attended the New York premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor on Tuesday and both of them looks fab-u!

Claire has gotten so much more beautiful recently and we think it’s the Dancy effect.

A fine man and some good lovin’ will do wonders for a girl.

Damn!

Why do we want to make sweet sweet love to Hugh Dancy so badly?

Hugh and his new fiancé Claire Danes arrived at Saturday’s Independent Spirit Awards looking so damn delicious.

Is it just us or has Claire upped her sexy game since Hugh came into her life?

She has been looking downright luminous lately.

It must be all that good lovin’.

On Monday we remarked how lucky Claire Danes was to have a man like Hugh Dancy.

Well, homegirl just got even luckier.

Hugh put a ring on it.

Danes, 29, and Dancy, 33, (wow, neither has to change their monogram) met on the set of 2007’s Evening and have been together ever since.

No details yet on when the proposal happened or what the ring looks like but major congratulations to the happy couple and especially to Claire, who traded up big time from her ex, rocker Ben Lee.

Claire Danes is a lucky woman.

Ever since we saw Adam at Sundance, we have quite the soft spot for her man, Hugh Dancy.

This weekend, the couple stepped out to the DGA Awards looking every inch the perfect Hollywood twosome.

You gotta love that she matched her dress to his eyes.

Anyone who’s been watching our video posts or reading our Sundance reports knows we adored Adam, the delicate love story of a man with Asperger’s Syndrome (the outstanding Hugh Dancy) and the woman who falls for him (Damages’ Rose Byrne).

We are thrilled to report the film was picked up by Fox Searchlight earlier this week.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
